Hi, I’m Morgan.

I’m a plant scientist.
I enjoy navigating across disciplines to bring ecosystem managers the most up-to-date, culturally and ecologically relevant systems that exist.
I celebrate ongoing collaboration with plants, water and people, facilitating more-than-lifetime relationships within communities.
I have an open-door policy for anyone that wants to learn, regardless of their circumstances.
Wherever possible, I do my best to reduce barriers to access knowledge especially within institutions.
In my work and across my website, you may read information that many folks would deem “common knowledge”.
In my lived experience, “common knowledge” is very dependent on your economic class, generational knowledge, your support system, your professional network, etc.
Context is continually provided in my work.
Education
I am a former low-income, first-generation high school and college graduate. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Botany from Utah Valley University.
After I graduated from university in 2018, many of my relatives (of different generations) have since gained their GEDs, High School Diplomas, Associates, Bachelor’s, Master’s degrees and innumerable trade certifications.
Certifications
Most of my certifications focus on scientific competency, wildfire and emergency management and environmental education.
I’m invested in rebuilding nature connection in communities.
