In a previous role, Morgan developed and wrote the Guidance Document and webpage for Texas A&M Forest Service Community Forestry Grants Program to distribute over $15 million dollars to communities across Texas. 

The Community Forestry Grants Guidance Document is a free, living document that trains readers through critical thinking exercises to apply for federal grants associated with Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funding. 

Morgan developed this manual to address gaps in communities that lack on-staff, experienced grant-writers who aren’t familiar with federal or state-specific grant requirements.

Morgan has multiple publications and has given innumerable presentations, trainings and workshops for communities to develop creative implementation of scientific methods with limited resources. Seeking innovative, creative solutions despite economic, institutional or financial barriers is a strength that Morgan specializes in.

When safety hazards exist and aren’t communicated, it creates opportunities for negative scenarios that impact employee health in all aspects. With over a decade of field experience in and outside of all levels of government and various types of communities, sharing and developing field-safety oriented handbooks for natural resource professionals is a leading passion project for Morgan.
